Crash, Stalled Semi-Truck Delays I-294 Traffic Near Hinsdale: Report

Traffic was backed up on the interstate for nearly an hour, according to Illinois State Police

HINSDALE, IL — A rollover crash, along with a nearby stalled semi-truck, slowed the Monday morning commute on the northbound Tri-State near Hinsdale, according to reports. WLS-TV is reporting the accident, which happened before 6 a.m., blocked two lanes just past the Stevenson Expressway to Ogden Avenue.

In addition, traffic was backed up beyond the crash site due to a stalled semi-truck taking out the left lane at Roosevelt, according to WLS-TV.

Illinois State Police tell Patch the accident involved a single vehicle with property damage. Police said a Jeep rolled over at 5:37 a.m. There were no injuries reported at the scene.

All lanes were reopened at 6:20 a.m., according to ISP.
