'Daddy, I Fought as Hard as I Could,' Says Home Invasion Victim
A 1 p.m. Saturday home invasion in Willowbrook put a 26-year-old woman into the intensive care unit.

A 26-year-old woman was beaten and stabbed in an afternoon home invasion in Willowbrook on Saturday. The attacker forced his way into a home in the 700 block of 73rd Court at about 1 p.m. The victim’s father told WGN News she is in the intensive care unit at Good Samaritan Hospital.

“I did see her and she is beat up real bad. No father should have to see their daughter like that or see another human being like that it was pretty much an animalistic job. She was aware I was there, I told her I loved her,” the father told WGN. “She said ‘Daddy, I fought as hard as I could.’ ”
The woman managed to get to a neighbor’s after the attack, where 9-1-1 was called. Willowbrook police have not released a detailed description of the attacker yet.
