Donation Scam Outside Hinsdale Store
The suspects asked a person for credit card information, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the latest reports:
Donation scam
- Suspects were seeking donations about 5 p.m. March 15 in front of Walgreens, 15 Grant Square. A man tried to donate $10 with his credit card using a suspect's phone. The victim later found attempted fraudulent charges totaling $3,000 on his car. The crime was reported two days later. The case is pending. Such a scam has been reported around the suburbs.
Domestic battery

- A 21-year-old Hinsdale man who lives in the 200 block of West 59th Street was arrested about 9 p.m. Friday on a domestic battery charge. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
- A 29-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at Salt Creek Lane and Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI and disobeying a traffic signal. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

- A 31-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 10 a.m. March 18 on a DuPage County warrant. He surrendered himself at the Hinsdale police station. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
