Downtown Hinsdale Restaurant Closes With Lease Expiration
The village government is seeking proposals for a replacement in the space, an official said.
HINSDALE, IL – Casa Margarita, a Mexican restaurant in the Hinsdale train station, recently closed when its lease expired.
Now, the village government, which owns the space, is seeking proposals for a replacement, Village President Greg Hart told the Village Board on Tuesday. The deadline for submissions is June 26.
In late April, a businessman told the board that he wanted to open Le Jolie, a French restaurant, in the train station.

It would offer oyster and raw bars, among other selections. Its food is described as a "touch of coastal French with American ingenuity."
Le Jolie owner Rich Baca was a partner for seven years at La Grange's Nicksons Eatery, which closed a few years ago.

Hinsdale leases out the space for Casa Margarita, but must consult with BNSF Railway before changing tenants, according to the village.
At the meeting, Baca said he hoped to open the restaurant in about a year. A Patch story gave other details, including the previous village president's concerns with Casa Margarita.
Casa Margarita is an area chain that consists of locations in La Grange, Downers Grove, Bolingbook, Orland Park and Chicago.
