Fire Victims Honored in Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills Friday

A somber salute to those who have died in fires will take place this weekend.

The annual Fire Department Silent Parade will roll through Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills Friday night, an event to commemorate the firefighters and civilians who have died from fires.

The parade featuring vehicles with lights on and sirens off begins in Hinsdale at 7 p.m. and runs west along Chicago Avenue through Clarendon Hills and all the way to Route 53 in Lisle.

After the parade in Clarendon Hills, a brief ceremony to close Fire Prevention Week will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1101 Kimberly Way. It will begin at 7:45 p.m.
