Father Suing Hinsdale Hospital For Negligence in Medical Care
Enrique Pacheco filed his complaint Oct. 4.
Enrique Pacheco is suing Adventist Midwest Health’s Amita Health Adventist Medical Center in Hinsdale for negligence in medical care, according to the Cook County Record.
Pacheco, father and next friend of Anthony Pacheco, is suing the Hinsdale hospital, Emily Rose F. Chellappa, R.N. and Donna Lyn Houlis, R.N., alleging the healthcare providers failed to provide proper care for Anthony.
Pacheco filed the complaint Oct. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court. The complaint details that in 2008 and 2009, Anthony Pacheco was hospitalized and, as a result of his caretakers, suffered further injuries including a burn on his left arm from an improper infusion.

Pacheco is suing based on claims that the defendants both didn’t take proper care to make sure Anthony wasn’t further injured, and didn’t address the burn on his arm once he was injured.
Pacheco is seeking judgment against the hospital in an amount of more than $50,000. He’s being represented by lawyers from the Chicago firm Levin & Percent.
