Football: Hinsdale Central Climbs Rankings After Win

The Red Devils rose to No. 21 ahead of a tough road game next weekend in Glen Ellyn.

Hinsdale Central has risen to No. 21 on Mike Clark's Super 25 rankings posted to HighSchoolCube News after a 31-0 win over Proviso West Friday night at Dickinson Field.

The Red Devils (3-1, 2-0) had been ranked No. 23 for the last three weeks.

They continue to be listed as a team "on the verge" of cracking the Chicago Tribune's Top 20

Hinsdale Central backup quarterback Jacob White ran for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. He left the game after injuring his ankle playing on defense.

Next up for the Red Devils is a tough away game at Glenbard West Saturday afternoon. The Hilltoppers, who beat Lyons Township 44-7 Friday night, are No. 6 in the Super 25 rankings and No. 8 on the Trib rankings.
