“Student council wanted to do a big project,” emphasized Sally Phillip, Hinsdale Central director of Student Activities, “They wanted an event that would include a lot of people, and to unite the community around a project that would have a big impact. Many of our students had previously been involved with Feed My Starving Children by going there so we thought it would be a great experience to host it here.”
Phillip continued, “We have held so many activities leading up to this event, fundraisers, candy sales, soliciting donations, our drive to raise $2,000 in one day, so on Sunday our focus will be completely on food packing. There is tremendous support for the event with clubs, teams, students, staff, girl scouts, boy scouts, families, businesses and more packing on Sunday.”
