Hinsdale Central Teacher Reprimanded By Board

The board unanimously voted for a "notice to remedy" for the teacher.

HINSDALE, IL – A longtime Hinsdale Central High School teacher was reprimanded by the school board Thursday night.

In a unanimous vote, the board authorized a "notice to remedy" for music teacher Matt Kurinsky. The board said nothing about the situation.

In his school phone message, Kurinsky indicates he is the band director and music department chairman. Central's website lists him as a music teacher.

According to his LinkedIn page, Kurinsky started at Central 18 years ago.

Patch has filed a public records request about the reprimand. Kurinsky declined to comment.

The board also reprimanded teachers in 2022 and 2023.
