Hinsdale Church Open To LGBTQ Community
The church voted for an "open and affirming" designation.
HINSDALE, IL – Union Church of Hinsdale, 137 S. Garfield Ave., announced Tuesday that it now has "open and affirming" status with the United Church of Christ.
That means the church is open to the LGBTQ community.
"While everyone has ALWAYS been welcome here, our congregation's official vote on January 28, 2024, makes it an official designation," the church said on Facebook. "Our ministry is open to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. God is love. And love is love."
