Hinsdale Coaches Named After Predecessors Resigned
Two of the three coaches have ties to Hinsdale Central. The athletic director said he would help during the transition.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale Central High School on Thursday named three interim coaches to lead the girls basketball team after the head coach and two assistants resigned Monday.
In a statement to Hinsdale Central families, the school's athletic director, Mike Jezioro, released information on the coaching staff.

Jezioro, who filled in after the three coaches resigned, promised to attend upcoming practices and games to help the coaches and student-athletes with the transition.
He said he would search for permanent coaches after the season.
He also said he "greatly appreciated" the interim coaches' commitment to the school and athletes.
"I want to thank our parents/guardians for their patience and understanding as we worked to resolve this situation," Jezioro said in the statement. "Most importantly, I want to thank our players for their hard work, dedication and perseverance."
On Monday, Erin Navolio, Hinsdale Central's girls basketball head coach, and two assistant coaches resigned. But the school did not say why.
Navolio declined to comment on the situation.
The coaches' resignations were the latest basketball-related headache for Hinsdale High School District 86.
In November, the mother of a Hinsdale South boys basketball player sued the district after her son did not make the cut. She claimed it was in retaliation for her son's allegation that the former head coach bullied him.
The school district let the boy back on the team days later.
