Hinsdale Crackdown: 3 DUIs, 2 Cell Phone Violations, 31 Seatbelt Violations
The Christmas and New Year's crackdown lasted from Dec. 20 to Jan. 5.

Results are in from the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" holiday crackdown on drunk drivers.
During the holiday season, reducing the deadly dangers from drunk drivers was a top priority as the Hinsdale Police Department was out in force to arrest those who put themselves and others on the road at risk.

From Dec. 20 to Jan. 5, the Hinsdale Police Department stopped and arrested three drunk drivers, wrote citations for 31 seatbelt violations, 33 speed violations, two cell phone violations, one license suspension violation, one uninsured motorist, one warrant arrest and 35 other traffic violations.
The recent law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns.
