Hinsdale D86 Candidates Respond To Questions

HINSDALE, IL – Patch submitted questionnaires to the five candidates running for three seats on the Hinsdale High School District 86 board in the April 4 election.

The candidates are Asma Akhras, Andrew Catton, Kay Gallo, Catherine Greenspon and Deborah Willoughby.

The three incumbents, Erik Held, Cynthia Hanson and Kathleen Hirsman, decided against running again. The board consists of seven members.

Patch asked candidates about falling test scores, the fate of Superintendent Tammy Prentiss, the controversy over an anti-racist consultant, critical race theory and sex education, among other issues.

School board members are not paid.
