Hinsdale Humane Society Announces 2016 Summer Camp Programs
Camps are now open to children in grades 1-8.

Hinsdale, IL - Children and animals come together during Hinsdale Humane Society’s Summer Camps, offered throughout June, July and August.
Campers will gain a greater understanding of animals, learn about their needs and care, explore their environment, and develop an awareness of the impact animals have on our lives.

For the first time, HHS is offering a number of week-long camp sessions tailored to children from grades 1-8.
Pet Camp, for children in grades 1-3, is an introduction to pets and the care they require. Campers will have an opportunity to interact with a variety of domestic animals and participate in crafts and animal-related activities and projects. This camp session runs from June 27 - July 1.
Animal Adventures, for children in grades 4-6, is our popular, ongoing HHS camp that changes yearly to accommodate repeat campers. Animal Adventures typically includes animal interactions, field trips and animal-related activities. This camp is offered during 3 different sessions: June 13-17, June 20-24 and August 1-5.

Animal Crusaders Camp, for children in grades 7-8, focuses on advocating for animals in a variety of ways, and making a difference in the lives of animals. Campers will learn ways they can become involved, from campaigns to careers. This camp session runs from August 8-12.
All camps begin in the Hinsdale Youth Center (located next to HHS at 22 N. Elm St.) and run from 9am to noon. Campers receive a t-shirt, and daily fresh fruit snacks and water bottles. Each session is $175/child with a discounted fee of $160/child for registration prior to May 1, 2016.
