Hinsdale Man Accused Of Domestic Battery At His House: Cops

In another case, an unlocked car was burglarized at a local store, police said.

A 50-year-old Hinsdale man who lives in the 5600 block of South Oak Street was arrested about 4 p.m. Saturday on charges of domestic battery and resisting arrest, local police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 50-year-old Hinsdale man who lives in the 5600 block of South Oak Street was arrested about 4 p.m. Saturday on charges of domestic battery and resisting arrest. He is accused of making contact of an "insulting or provoking nature" with someone at his house. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Car burglary

  • An unlocked car was burglarized between 6:30 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. Friday at Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave. A backpack and briefcase were stolen. The case is pending.

Theft

  • A lamp was stolen while a woman was moving from her house between Jan. 27 and Jan. 31 in the 900 block of Allmen Avenue.

Fraud

  • On Feb. 5, a resident in the apartment building at 21 Spinning Wheel Road reported unauthorized activity on a stock trading account. The case is pending.

DUI

  • A 59-year-old Naperville man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Monday at 55th Street and Holmes Avenue on charges of DUI and improper lane use. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
