Hinsdale Police Reports: DUI, Theft, Warrant

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Jan. 26.

Hinsdale, IL - The following information is courtesy of the Hinsdale Police Department.

Ivan R Lopez, 24 of the 5100 block of Washtenaw in Chicago, was stopped Jan. 19 for improper lane use and stopping at a green signal at York Road and Ogden Avenue, according to Hinsdale police. Lopez was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and a pair of brass knuckles were found in his car. Lopez was charged with DUI, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of improper lane use and stopping in a roadway. He was released to appear in court.

Someone stole an iPad valued at $799 on Jan. 20 from an outpatient waiting room at Hinsdale Hospital, according to Hinsdale police.

Someone stole a set of snow skis and ski poles Jan. 24 when they were dropped off at the curbside in front of a home in the 10 block of E. 6th Street, according to Hinsdale police. The owner brought luggage into the house and returned to the curb to get the skis, but they were gone. The skis were valued at $150 and the poles were valued at $100.

Marco A Bastidas, 26 of the 0-100 block of W First Street in Hinsdale, had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear for a DuPage County court case, according to Hinsdale police. The original charges were misdemeanor traffic charges from a July 2015 arrest in Villa Park. Bastidas posted the required bond and was released to appear in court.
