Hinsdale Police Warn Residents To Lock Homes After Break-In Reported
Police said jewelry was stolen from a home when burglars went through the back door in the sixth reported burglary in Hinsdale this year.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale Police are warning local residents to lock their homes after a burglary was reported at a local home late last week, police said on Monday.
Police said that jewelry was taken from a home in the 600 block of North County Line Road near the intersection of Fuller and County Line. Police said that burglars entered the home through the back door around 4 p.m.
The burglary was the sixth that has been reported to police this year after 14 burglaries were reported within the village limits in 2021, police said. Fall is when home break-ins tend to increase, according to police.

Police said that residents should lock their homes when they are aware and should activate any alarms at their homes. Residents should also contact the police if they notice any suspicious persons or activity in the area.
