In another case, a DUI suspect was found asleep behind the wheel, police said.

Fraud

  • A resident in the 800 block of Merrill Woods Road told police April 2 about responding to a used car posting in an online marketplace. The resident sent the suspect money before realizing it was a scam. The case is pending.

DUI

  • A 35-year-old Carol Stream man was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of West Ogden Avenue on a DUI charge. He was asleep at the wheel with the car running, police said. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Theft

  • A children's bicycle and scooter were stolen between 2:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Sunday from a yard in the 10 block of Lansing Street.
