Hinsdale Restaurants Sustain Damage

Local social media is abuzz about what may have happened at the businesses.

HINSDALE — Damage to the Starbucks at Hinsdale's Whole Foods caused it to temporarily close on Tuesday morning.

Yellow tape surrounded the restaurant as broken glass from one of its doors was being cleared before the door was boarded up.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Starbucks reopened.

About a half mile west, the glass door at Jimmy John’s on York Road was broken, so the restaurant boarded it up. An employee there said the damage was caused earlier in the day, but provided no further details.

On social media, residents are speculating on the reasons for the damage to the establishments.
