Overnight Car Burglaries Spike in Hinsdale

Hinsdale, IL - Hinsdale police have received five reports of overnight car burglaries since Jan. 26.

The burglaries happened while the cars were unlocked and parked in residential driveways or on the street in front of a home, Hinsdale police report.

Most of the items taken from the cars include money, sunglasses and sporting equipment.

Police are asking residents to lock their cars and to hide valuables inside cars, such as purses, wallets and electronics.

Anyone who sees unusual or suspicious activity should call 911 and try to give an accurate description of any people or cars involved.
