The reduced oasis access is needed to complete lighting, utility and drainage work, as well as shifting to a winter construction configuration, the Illinois Tollway said in a news release.
Once the work is finished, all traffic on northbound I-294 between Plainfield and Cermak roads is scheduled to shift to the right with a work zone in the middle, the release said.
