Hinsdale police reports, April 5-7

SUNDAY, APRIL 7

Teen Strikes Officer

Police were dispatched at 7:22 p.m. to investigate a domestic situation in which a teen was being verbally abusive on the 900 block of South Monroe Street. While investigating the complaint, the teen struck a police officer with her fist. She also resisted arrest and kicked an assisting officer, according to police. The teen was released and referred to a juvenile officer.

No Valid Driver's License

A 17-year-old Hinsdale girl was stopped at 11:50 p.m. at Hinsdale Avenue and Washington Street for driving without headlights when required. The girl did not have a valid driver’s license or proof of insurance. She was charged and released to appear in court.

Identity Theft

Someone used a resident's social security number to fraudulently file an income tax return. The incident was reported at 1 p.m. and a case is pending.
