This year, as well as last year, the Hinsdale Fire Department will deliver a special guest, Santa Claus, via a fire engine. Families in attendance will also decorate gingerbread houses and cookies, participate in other arts and crafts, and be supplied with a host of treats such as candy canes.
Wellness House Oncology Child Life Specialist Chelsea Yoo states, “Family events, like the Winter Wonderland, are opportunities for families to bond, create memories, and develop new traditions. These are vital things that a family can do to foster resilience and security in children impacted by cancer in their family.”
