District 86 have canceled school Monday, according to releases posted to each district's website.
"District 86 will not be in session tomorrow, Monday, January 27," according to a message from District 86 superintendent Bruce Law.
A National Weather Service (NWS) wind chill advisory is in effect from Monday morning to Wednesday morning. Wind chill values are expected to dip down to between -30 and -45 degrees during the two-day span.
Monday will be the third canceled school day of 2014 for District 86. Previous cancelations took place on Jan. 6 and Jan. 7.
