Car Stolen In Hinsdale Torched In Another State: Cops

Two unrelated incidents occurred at the same apartment complex in Hinsdale, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police were recently called about two incidents that involved people at the same apartment complex.

On the afternoon of May 13, officers responded to a disturbance at the complex at 300 E. Claymoor Road. A 66-year-old man who lives there was charged with domestic battery and taken to the DuPage County Jail, police said.

Two days later, police learned that a car owned by someone else at the complex was found burned and abandoned in Montgomery County, Arkansas. The owner told police that she parked her car in the complex's parking lot on May 8 and had both sets of keys with her.

The car theft was believed to have taken place at some point in the week after that.

Police said the incidents were unrelated.
