Shedd Aquarium Celebrates 80 Years with a Giant Fish

Granddad, an Australian lungfish, and the Shedd Aquarium celebrated their 80th anniversary together this week at a party with 100 staff and friends, including Australia's consul-general.

There was, of course, cake. And what kind of cake do you get a 25-pound fish? One made with smelt, shrimp and peas, and frosted with seaweed. (Click here for a picture of the cake; it's quite something.)
