Theft Suspect Confronted At Hinsdale Store: Cops
A woman's wallet was stolen from her purse while she was shopping, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
Attempted theft
- Someone tried to steal a woman's wallet from her purse in a shopping cart about noon May 5 at Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave. The person dropped the wallet when confronted and ran away. The case is pending.

- A student's phone was stolen between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. April 23 at Hinsdale Central High School, 5500 S. Grant St. She reported the crime six days later. The case is pending.
- A bicycle was reported stolen May 5 at Melin Park.
DUI
- A 27-year-old Addison man was arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of DUI, unlawful marijuana possession by a driver, transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver, speeding and driving an uninsured car. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
