Three Cars Stolen from Hinsdale in Separate Thefts: Police

Police believe the stolen cars were used in connection with serious crimes in Chicago.

HINSDALE, IL — Three unlocked cars have been stolen in Hinsdale in the past several weeks.

The stolen cars were left unlocked with the keys in the ignitions, according to Hinsdale police.

Two cars were taken form the southeast section of the village, and one was taken from the northwest section, police reported. The most recent vehicle theft took place overnight between July 19 and 20 in the 400 E. block of 6th Street.

One car was recovered in a Cook County suburb, and another was found in Chicago. Inside the cars, police found ammunition and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities believe the stolen cars have been used in connection with other serious crimes in Chicago.
