Upgrades To 2 Hinsdale Parks Planned
The village wants to resurface a variety of courts at both parks.
HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale is prepared to move forward with improvements to two local parks.
On Tuesday, the Village Board is set to review bids for the upgrades at Stough and Brook parks.
Last year, the village received feedback about deterioration at Brook Park in west-central Hinsdale, which features two tennis courts and one full-size basketball court. The village determined the courts needed to be rebuilt, despite patching repairs completed in 2017.

Under its plan, Hinsdale aims to resurface the deteriorated courts. At Brook, the basketball and tennis courts will be changed to accommodate multi-sport play because of increased pickleball demand, according to a village memo.
Six companies recently bid on the project, with Hickory Hills-based J&R Asphalt coming in lowest at $308,000. The other bids ranged from $350,000 to $431,000.
