Clarendon Hills Set To Pick New Trustee

The new trustee would serve the rest of Carol Jorissen's term, which ends next year.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL — The Clarendon Hills Village Board is set to appoint a new village trustee next week.

Village President Len Austin is recommending Steve Tuttle to fill the seat vacated by former trustee Carol Jorissen.

Jorissen stepped down from the board last month, saying she was moving out of the village.

Tuttle is a 27-year resident of the Blackhawk Heights neighborhood, according to a memo to the Village Board.

“Based on Steve’s background, long residency, and my discussion(s) with him, I am confident that he will serve the Village well as a Trustee,” Austin stated in the memo. “I was especially impressed by his desire to provide public service, which is in the best tradition of Clarendon Hills.”
