Wanted DuPage County Man Arrested in West Virginia
Joseph Hisel is facing theft and fraud charges out of Will, Grundy and DuPage counties.

A Joliet contractor wanted in three counties on charges of fraud and theft has been arrested in West Virginia.
According to online court records, Joseph Hisel was booked into the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional Facility Authority the evening of Aug. 20.
Hisel is facing theft and fraud charges out of Will, Grundy and DuPage counties.

According to a report from ABC 7, Hisel “left two Joliet families with unfinished basements and thousands of dollars in debt. They hired him through his business, JH Carpentry.”
It’s also alleged that in Grundy County Hisel took $5,000 to build and install a fence, but didn’t
do any of the work. He also didn't show up for his court date

In DuPage County, Hisel was sentenced to 60 days in jail on a theft by deception charge, but never turned himself in.
