Westmont Mariano's Set to Open Tuesday

Westmont, IL - Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc. will open its 36th Mariano's location at 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, at 150 W. 63rd St. in Westmont.

The store will have traditional grocery products and Mariano's signature offerings, plus a few items and features exclusive to the Westmont location.

Dine-in and carry out options include SQUEEZ'D - a juice and smoothie bar, Vero - a coffee shop with a crepe station, Oki Sushi - where trained sushi chefs serve signature maki rolls and sashimi, Todds BBQ - with meats smoked in house, an oyster bar serving east and west coast oysters on the half shell, a wine bar and spots to nab salads, antipasto, olives, wood-fired pizzas, calzones, panini sandwiches and cocktails.

Also new to Mariano's and unique to the Westmont location is a wine wall that uses a rating system to give shoppers a hand in choosing between wines.

The produce section has more than 200 organic options, according to Mariano's. The bakery offers breads that can be sliced to order, pastries, cakes and sweets, including Mariano's popular Bella cupcakes. The curated cheese section has selections from local, midwest and international farms and items exclusive to Mariano's, such as White Gold Parmigiano Reggiano, which is known as the king of cheese.

The floral department provides arrangements from in-house designers, seasonal bouquets and more than 30 varieties of cut flower bunches. Mariano's roses come from the same company that supplies the Miss America Organization, according to Amanda Puck, director of Strategic Brand Development.

Tucked among the central grocery section are two international food aisles.

The Westmont store is brings 400 new jobs to the area, according to Mariano's, and Puck said they're always hiring.

In honor of the new location debut, the Roundy’s Foundation will make a donation to the People’s Resource Center Food Panty, which gives fresh produce, meats, dairy, canned goods and household staples to DuPage County residents in need.

Mariano’s Westmont will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
