  2. Woman Attacked in Her Willowbrook Home Stabbed 17 Times in Face, Neck, Back and Torso
    This update to the brave woman’s story spurred the search for her attacker, who police believed to be “very dangerous.”
  3. Bye-Bye Batman: Dark Knight Pool in Hinsdale to be Removed
    The iconic symbol at the bottom of a famous residential pool was defeated this year after a developer bought the property for $1.865 million.
  4. Photos: Blackhawk Fans TP Coach Quenneville’s Hinsdale Home
    Hinsdale residents and Blackhawks fans descended upon the home of coach Quenneville to celebrate the Stanley Cup victory with a flurry of toilet paper. Proud participants and passers-by sent Patch photos of the resulting decorations.
  5. Hinsdale Man Charged in Murder of Former Pro Basketball Player Nate Fox
    Jeffrey Keller, a Hinsdale businessman, was charged and held without bail in the murder of former pro basketball player Nate Fox.
  6. $5 Million Bail for Man Accused of Brutalizing Willowbrook Woman
    Another update in the home invasion story, Londale Madison of South Bend, Indiana, was held on $5 million bail. Charges against him include attempted first degree murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault, home invasion and armed robbery.
  7. High School Senior Skips Prom to Help the Homeless, Starts Nonprofit
    A student at Hinsdale South High School spent the money she’d saved for her senior prom on care packages for the homeless people of Chicago. The video she made of her experience has been watched more than 200,000 times.
  8. Hinsdale Native Survives 48 Hours Lost in the Swiss Alps
    In an epic story of survival, a lost Hinsdale Central alumnus was found after three days and two nights hiking through snow banks. The former Boy Scout slept in an igloo he made to shelter himself from the elements.
  9. Former Hinsdale Central Teacher Charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Abuse
    A former Hinsdale Central teacher was charged for abuse that allegedly took place in April 2011.
  10. Hinsdale South Student Says D86 Board Member Bullied and Harassed Her
    In the first of many stories covering a conflict between a Hinsdale South student and a D86 board member, Marissa Dupont petitioned for the resignation of Claudia Manley for reportedly bullying her outside a senior play.
