Boil Order Expected To Last Until Saturday For Parts Of Homer Glen

The boil order was first issued on Tuesday for several subdivisions in Homer Glen.

HOMER GLEN, IL — A boil order is expected to last until Saturday for several subdivisions in Homer Glen, according to Illinois American Water.

The affected subdivisions include: all of Twin Lakes, all of Country Woods, all of Oak Valley, all of Deboer Woods, all of Crystal Creek, all of Indian Rock Trail, all of Meadow Crest, all of Wedgewood, all of Country View.

The boil order was first issued on Tuesday.

Residents in the area had complained of low water pressure, which was due to a broken line, which has now been repaired, Village Manager Joe Baber said Tuesday.

When a boil order is in effect, water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for five minutes, according to Illinois American Water. Water is OK to use for bathing and laundry.

The Village has bottled water available on Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall, for those affected by the order. For those residents not able to get to Village Hall, call 708-301-0632 to make other arrangements.
