Boil Order Issued For Several Homer Glen Subdivisions
It is not known when the boil order will be lifted.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Illinois American Water has issued a boil order Tuesday for a large part of Homer Glen, according to an alert from the Village.
Subdivisions affected by the order include all of Twin Lakes, Country Woods, Oak Valley, Deboer Woods, Crystal Creek, Indian Rock Trail, Meadow Crest, Wedgewood and Country View.
When a boil order is in effect, water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for five minutes, according to Illinois American Water.

Residents in the area had complained of low water pressure, which was due to a broken line, which has now been repaired, Village Manager Joe Baber said.
The lower pressure was the cause for the expanded boil order to other areas in Homer Glen, he added.

"Water samples are now being conducted. An ETA for the lifting of the boil order is not known at this time," Baber said.
