Clean Sweep 2025 Helps Beautify Lockport

LOCKPORT, IL — Spring is here, and that means it's time for spring-cleaning not just in your own home but in your community.

Main Street Lockport, in partnership with the City, will host Clean Sweep 2025 on May 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteers can meet at the Scale House, 201 W. 10th St., and there will be free T-shirts and lunch for volunteers.

Volunteers should bring hats, gloves and sunscreen.

According to event organizers, this year's action plan includes weeding, planting and mulching the public gardens at south Public Landing; an I&M Canal path trash pick-up; and beautifying the Volunteer Garden at 1035 S. State St.
