Cop On A Rooftop Planned Friday At Lockport Dunkin' Locations

Lockport officers will support the fundraiser again this year, from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. on May 17.

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport police officers will participate in Cop on a Rooftop, the annual fundraiser for Special Olympics Illinois, on Friday at the Lockport Dunkin' locations at 1069 E. Ninth St., and 730 S. State St.

This year is the 21st anniversary between Dunkin' and Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run. Each year, police officers staff Dunkin' locations, often standing on rooftops of the buildings, to support Special Olympics Illinois.

Lockport officers will support the fundraiser again this year, from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. on May 17. Proceeds will benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois.

Guests who make a donation will receive a coupon for a free donut, according to the event website. If you donate $10 or more, you will receive a tumbler and a coupon for a free coffee.

Lockport Police said any business that donates $100 or more will receive a special delivery on May 20 of coffee and a dozen donuts delivered by the department.
