COVID-19 Testing In HG-Lockport Area: Where To Find Locations

HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — With holiday gatherings and the emerging omicron surge of coronavirus combining to send demand for tests skyrocketing past supplies, an increasing number of Homer Glen and Lockport residents have been seeking COVID-19 testing but have found it unavailable or difficult to obtain.

The test positivity 7-day rolling average for Illinois is at 11.7 percent, while case positivity is at 7.8 percent, according to Illinois Department of Public Health data. The Will County Health Department provided data that there was a 9.08 percent positivity rate in Will County as of Dec. 22, which was an increase from 7.77 percent on Dec. 13.
