Fire Damages Garage In Unincorporated Lockport Saturday: Fire District
Fire companies arrived on scene and found a fire in a detached garage that was extending to multiple vehicles, the fire district said.

LOCKPORT, IL — A detached garage was damaged by a fire on Saturday in unincorporated Lockport, according to the Lockport Township Fire Protection District.
The fire district responded at 6:45 for a reported garage fire on Nobes Avenue. Fire companies arrived on scene and found a fire in a detached garage that was extending to multiple vehicles, the fire district said.
The occupants were home and were attempting to extinguish the fire when crews arrived. The fire district said the fire was quickly extinguished, and no injuries were reported at the time of the incident.

The fire was upgraded to a general alarm which brought in mutual aid assistance from Homer,
Northwest Homer, and Romeoville Fire Departments assisting with covering the rest of the fire
district.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and is being investigated by the Lockport Fire
Investigators.
