Former LTHS Board Member Della Travis Dies

LOCKPORT, IL — LTHS District 205 and its Board of Education is extending its condolences to the Travis family after former Board member Della Travis died this past weekend, the District shared.

"The Travis family has served LTHS with extraordinary dedication for nearly five decades, beginning with Charles Travis in 1975, followed by Della (2015–2019), and their son Michael (2019–2025). Their legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to our community will forever be remembered," the District said.

The Travis family was just honored this past May for their 50 years of dedicated service to public education.

"Our thoughts are with the Travis family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in knowing the lasting impact their loved ones have made at LTHS and throughout the Lockport community," the District said.
