Fridays In The Park Offer Live Music, Food Trucks

LOCKPORT, IL — Through September, the City of Lockkport and Gallery Seven will host monthly Fridays in the Park events at Lincoln Landing, 200 W. Eighth. St.

The next event, planned for July 5, will feature live entertainment from "Shindig."

Music is from 7 to 9 p.m., and food trucks start serving at 6:30 p.m., according to the City. There is also a face painter and an outside bar at the event.

Monthly donations are appreciated, and in July, school supplies are being collected for SOS Village.

The next two Fridays in the Park will be held:

• Aug. 2, "In The Pocket," collecting pet supplies for TLC
• Sept. 6, "Class of 68," collecting toiletries for Guardian Angel and Homeless Vets of Will County
