Glow Night Will Kick Off Old Canal Days On June 6

The fest will kick off at 5 p.m. on June 6, with carnival rides, a food court, beer garden and music.

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport's annual fest, Old Canal Days, will kick off festivities a day earlier this year with a special Glow Night theme and expanded offerings, according to a release from the Lockport Chamber.

The fest will kick off at 5 p.m. on June 6, with carnival rides, a food court, beer garden and music. The first 200 teens who attend the festival will receive free glow wands and necklaces and the first 100 adults (over 21) will receive a free Old Canal Days souvenir mug, event organizers said.

DJ Jon Wise from JPW Productions will entertain from 7 to 10 p.m. at the open-air stage. For those who enjoy rides at the carnival, unlimited carnival ride mega passes will be available for $60 if purchased in advance, and $70 if bought on-site.

Food truck vendors for the weekend include Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Creamery, Dairy Queen, Embers, Frosty Dogs, GrzGrub, Krispys Nashville hot Chicken, Mr. Salty, Pierogi Rig, Smokin’ Z BBQ, Supermercado and Villa Nova Pizza.
