Homer Glen Celebrates Grand Opening Of New Park
The Village celebrated the opening of Old Oak Park, at 13206 Old Oak Trail, on Wednesday.
HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen celebrated the grand opening of its newest park on Wednesday. The Old Oak Park, at 13206 Old Oak Trail, features swings, playground equipment, a pavilion, picnic table and water fountain.
Village Manager Joe Baber told Patch that the Village was able to use American Rescue Plan Act grant funding to cover over half the costs for the all-inclusive park.
"The location was decided upon because of a lack of a park in the area, and there was a park land donation with the new adjacent subdivision," Baber said.
