The study’s authors determined that Homer Glen was the safest community in the state and reported that residents had only a one in 127 chance of being a victim of a crime. According to data, the study found that there were no murders, no rapes, and four property crimes per 100,000 residents in 2012 when they relied on FBI data to compile the report.
