ICE Allstars Blue Dynasty Recognized By Homer Glen Board
The team, which is a special needs competitive cheer team, earned a silver medal for the United States.
HOMER GLEN, IL — At its meeting on Wednesday, the Homer Glen Village Board recognized ICE Allstars Blue Dynasty, which is a special needs competitive cheer team.
The team is made up of 17 female athletes, from ages 13 to 35.
The team represented the United States at the International Cheer Union World Championships in the USA Cheer Special Olympics traditional category last month, Mayor Christina Neitzke-Troike said during the resolution honoring the team.

"[The team] participated in the opening ceremony, a cultural exchange, a showcase and then competed for two days, ultimately winning the silver medal for the United States," Neitzke-Troike said.
ICE Allstars Blue Dynasty also became the NCA National Champions and the U.S. All Star Federal World Champions this season.

Two of the team members, and some of the coaching staff, are from Homer Glen.
