'Industrial Mishap' Claims Worker's Life

The man was working at J and M Wood Products, a Lockport sawmill.

LOCKPORT, IL — A man was killed Monday afternoon at a Lockport sawmill.

Brad Harders, 38, was pronounced dead about 2 p.m. at the emergency room of Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Harders was killed in an “industrial mishap,” according to Will County Coroner Patrick O’Neil’s office.

Harders was at J&M Wood Products on South Archer Avenue, the coroner’s office said in a statement.

An autopsy was scheduled for later today.
