Lockport Accepting Old Christmas Trees Throughout January

The city is now accepting Christmas trees as part of its weekly service collection, officials announced.

LOCKPORT, IL — If you're wondering what to do with that old Christmas tree now that the holiday is over, the City of Lockport has you covered.

The city is now accepting Christmas trees as part of its weekly service collection. Trees larger than four feet should be cut in half, according to city officials.

Waste management refuse and recycling collection will take place on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020.

City officials said service will be delayed by one day from Friday, Jan. 1, 2021 (New Year's Day) to the following day, Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.
