Lockport Business Closed Until Further Notice After Fire
The Lockport Township Fire Protection District said crews responded at 9 p.m. and found a working fire in the stockroom of the business.

LOCKPORT, IL — A fire was reported in the stockroom of the Fort Erie Elks Lodge 167, in the 3500 block of State Street in unincorporated Lockport on Sunday night, according to a news release.
The Lockport Township Fire Protection District said crews responded at 9 p.m. and found a working fire in the stockroom of the business. Occupants were able to evacuate, and fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, limiting the damage to the stockroom, the fire district said.
The business will remain closed until further notice, according to the fire district. No injuries were reported from this incident.

The incident was elevated to the full still alarm level, which brought in equipment and personnel
from East Joliet, Homer, Lemont, New Lenox, Northwest Homer, Plainfield and Romeville either to the scene or to assist with covering the remainder of the fire district.
The fire is being investigated by the Lockport Fire Investigators with no official cause listed at this time.
