Lockport, Homer Glen Dangerous Wind Chill: School Closures For Tuesday

HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — Homer Glen and Lockport are both under a wind chill warning until noon Tuesday, and a wind chill advisory until 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, dangerously cold wind winds of 25 to 40 below zero are expected during the wind chill warning. The lowest wind chills will be at night and during the morning.

With the cold, many schools in Lockport and Homer Glen have announced closures or e-learning days for Tuesday, including:

• Fairmont District 89, e-learning day on Tuesday
• Milne-Kelvin Grove District 91, e-learning day on Tuesday
• Homer District 33C, e-learning day on Tuesday
