Lockport, Homer Glen Storm Clean-Up: Hundreds Still Without Power

897 are without power in Lockport, and 612 customers have no power in Homer Glen as of noon Tuesday.

LOCKPORT, IL — After severe weather and several possible tornadoes in the area on Monday night, storm clean-up has started in Lockport and Homer Glen.

Several hundred people are still without power, including 612 people in Homer Glen, 106 in Homer Township, 897 in Lockport and 44 in Lockport Township, according to the ComEd outage map at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

ComEd has released a statement saying that it expects 80 percent of outages to be restored by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, with the remaining 20 percent restored at 6 p.m. on Friday.

The City of Lockport said that its Public Works crews are out cleaning up debris from the storm.

"Priority has been given to roadways and sidewalks to provide safe travel to motorists and pedestrians," the City said. Residents can contact 815-838-0549 option 8 with emergency requests.
